Trump dismisses Chief of the Joint Chief

The US Air Force General, CQ Brown, the second black breed general in serving as head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was fired from his position by President Donald Trump.

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, dismissed on Friday to the General of the Air Force CQ Brown as head of the Joint Chiefs.

The dismissal of Brown, the second black general general in serving as head of the Joint Chiefs, will probably send shock waves through the Pentagon. His 16 months in office coincided with the war in Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East.

“I want to thank General Charles 'CQ' Brown for his more than 40 years of service to our country, including his current position as head of the Joint Chiefs. He is an exceptional gentleman and an outstanding leader, and I wish him a great future to him and his family, ”Trump published on social networks.

Trump says he will name the Lieutenant General of the Air Force Dan Caine as the next Chief of the Joint General Staff.

The president made the decision despite the support of Brown between the key members of the Congress and an apparently friendly meeting with him in mid -December, when they were both sitting next to each other for a while in the football match between the Army and the Navy.

Brown had been gathering regularly with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who assumed the highest position of the Pentagon just four weeks ago.
