The plundering and former secret service agent, Dan Bongino, will be the deputy director of the FBI, announced US president Donald Trump. Bongino led a popular conservative podcast.
President Donald Trump said Sunday in a publication on social networks that Bongino, a presenter of a conservative interview program, will be the FBI deputy director.
Bongino will join Kash Patelwho was recently confirmed by the Senate as director of the FBI. Trump said Bongino was appointed for Patel position. The position does not require the confirmation of the Senate.
“Great news for US forces and justice!”, Trump published in his social network, Truth Social, calling Bongino “a man of incredible love and passion for our country.”
Bongino was previously a police officer from New York City and a member of the US Secret Service. More recently, he was known as a radio and conservative podcaster presenter.
Trump said in his publication that Bongino is “prepared to give up” to his program by assuming the new role. “The Dan Bongino Show” was recently number 56 podcast in the United States, according to Spotify.
