New Orleans police arrested an artist who deployed a combined flag of Sudan and Palestine with the words “Sudan” and “Gaza”, during the part -time performance of the super bowl of rapper Kendrick Lamar.
An artist who participated in the mid -time show of the Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl was arrested in the field and could face charges after displaying a combined flag of Sudan and Palestine with the words “Sudan” and “Gaza” written in it.
The NFL confirmed that the person was part of the cast of 400 members in the field. The New Orleans Police Department reported in a statement that “the authorities work to determine the positions applicable in this incident.”
“The individual will be vetoed for life in all NFL stages and events,” said NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy, in a statement sent by email.
The interpreter stopped on a car used as a props for Lamar's performance and held the flag. The NFL indicated that “the individual hid the object in his person and revealed it to the end of the show” and that “no one involved in production was aware of the intention of the individual.”
Roc Nation, the entertainment company that produced the show, mentioned that the act “was not planned or part of the production and was never in any essay.”
The show continued without interruptions, and it did not seem that the person was shown in the transmission of Lamar's performance.
