Los Angeles Maritime Museum

From World War II planes to modern day jets, here you can see different aircrafts, equipment and accessories. Hours: Wed.-Sun., 10 a.m.-5 p.m. $3 for students 17 and under, $7 for adults.
Travel Town Museum

California Science Center

Griffith Park Observatory

The observatory is closing for renovation in January 2002 so hurry! Has a Hall of Science with planetary models, meteorites, a pendulum, seismograph, astronomy computer games, telescopes and more. Also with a planetarium and laser shows. Hours: Tues.-Fri., 2 to 10 p.m. Sat.-Sun., 12:30 p.m.-10 p.m. Observatory is free. Planetarium: $4. $8 for most laser shows.
