A play that is coming to L.A. in February happens to be one of the greatest musicals I have ever seen and one that I will never be able to forget. The play "Into the Woods" had a very intense impact on me. It is a philosophical and intellectually stimulating play, though you would never think so unless you read between the lines. The play is a collision of fairy tales, "Little Red Riding Hood," ""Jack and the Beanstalk," "Rapunzel," and "Cinderella" with a touch of "Snow White" and "Sleeping Beauty." They all end up meeting and their stories intertwine, to lead to a happy ending, or so you might think, but you’ll just have to see the play to find out. This play is full of betrayal and illusion. It’s about making decisions and selfishness and narcissism and how it can destroy people.
