“Some people call them Oasis’s little brother, others call them the best new British band. With their hit “Alright” making its American debut in the movie “Clueless,” Supergrass is one of the few bands which form the 90s British invasion. Their album, “I Should Coco,” is pretty darn awesome. It’s been released in England for a while now, and it’s steadily climbing the charts here in the USA.
“I’d Like To Know” kicks off the album, which is an upbeat ode to the London punks and all the other “strange ones.” The album includes other potential hits like “She’s So Loose,” and “Man Size Rooster.” Mostly, their music isn’t too heavy and is fun, sparing us the morbid mushy stuff. Other good songs to look for are “Caught By The Fuzz” and “Strange Ones.”
Supergrass’s debut effort is an exceptional one. It’s one of those albums that just doesn’t have any bad songs on it, which is good, considering it’s their very first album. Ignoring the success they have back in England, Supergrass is one of the best new bands here in America and “I Should Coco” is definitely one to check out!”
