The Kremlin says that it has not yet received US news about possible meeting between Putin and Trump

Moscow is still willing to organize a meeting between Russian presidents Vladimir Putin and American Donald Trump. A Kremlin spokesman said they have not yet received Washington signals.

The Kremlin said Monday that he had not yet received any United States sign on the organization of a possible meeting between President Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump, but that he was still willing to organize that meeting.

“Until now, we have not received any sign of the Americans,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov, journalists at a telephone conference.

“(Russia) is still arranged (to a meeting), with the same provision, so we have heard, Americans also have it. Apparently, a certain amount of time (to establish something) is required,” he said.

Putin said Friday that he and Trump should meet to talk about the war in Ukraine and energy prices, issues that the US President has highlighted in the first days of his new government.

Trump, who assumed the position last week, has also said that he wants to meet with Putin and put an end to the war, which has labeled “ridiculous.”
