‘Titanic’ will touch your heart and soul

“Movies come and movies go, but one stands apart from the rest: “Titanic.” The movie is not just a love story, and it is not just an action movie about a big, sinking ship. There is a theme to the movie that embraces you from the beginning and doesn’t let go until you are home in your bed. There has never been a story like “Titanic” that has touched so many people in so many ways. It is proof that true love exists, and yes, it even conquers all. It takes you back to a time where your heart was stronger than your mind, and emotions were all that mattered. It takes you back to a time where you weren’t afraid to do what you felt in your heart. Love like that no longer exists in the world. You could feel the passion between the two lovers, Jack (Leonardo Di Caprio), and Rose (Kate Winslet) so strongly that it felt as if you were along with them on the ship, embracing in the wind. You are captured in the past, forgetting that you are in the nineties, forgetting that you are in a theater, even forgetting who you are.
You try not to cry. You try telling yourself that it’s only a movie, butt it doesn’t work—because it isn’t just a movie. It really happened. Thousands of people, hundreds of children, really did die. And as you are transformed through time and are actually on the ship, it breaks your heart to see all these people, not just characters in a movie, but real people with real souls perish in the ocean. And although a love so quickly found by two people is so quickly torn from them, the whole theme of the story is that the love still lives on. It lives on in their hearts, but most important, it lives on in you. And you will be thinking about this the whole time with tears streaming down your cheeks.”
