“Can a girl get pregnant on her period?
Yes. Women may ovulate at any time. Also, sperm may live for up to five days – so she may have sex when she is on her period, but five days later she could ovulate and bang, she’s pregnant.
Do I masturbate too much?
Probably not. As long as it’s not interfering with fulfilling any responsibilities you may have or it’s not in public. Masturbating is completely safe and side-effect free.
How do I put on a condom?
Check the expiration date. Open the package with your fingers, not your nails or teeth. Blow on it or check to make sure that it is going to roll on easily. Pinch the tip of the condom. This keeps the air out (so the condom won’t burst) and leaves space for the semen to go during ejaculation. Keeping the tip pinched, roll the condom all the way to the base of an erect penis. After intercourse, make sure to hold onto the base of the penis when pulling out of the vagina. Do this before the penis becomes flaccid (soft). Turn away from your partner and dispose of the used condom in a trash can – not the toilet (it’ll clog it).
To decrease the amount of friction, or for a better feeling, you can use lubricant. Brand names such as “KY,” “Astro-Glide” and “ID” can be purchased at a local pharmacy or picked up at a health clinic. A couple drops on the inside or outside of the condom and/or on the woman’s vagina should be enough. Always use water-based lube! Oil (such as Vaseline) breaks down the latex.
It burns when I urinate – why? What should I do?
If you have had unprotected sex, you are at risk for contracting a sexually transmitted infection, and it would be necessary for you to seek treatment as soon as possible. Still, it could be anything, and there is no way for you to know without seeing a clinician. So unprotected sex or not, you should have yourself looked at by a clinician.
