As a child (and to this day) I loved mixing my cereals. Finding a perfect combination of two cereals was a great feeling and a substantial part of my morning.

Now, there is a haven for the cereal mixer—JuJu Cereal Bar in Westwood Village near UCLA. JuJu has 60 cereals, more than 50 toppings and several kinds of milk. There are hundreds of possible combinations for a regular JuJu bowl, which is two kinds of cereal, three toppings and your choice of milk.

You can make up your own concoction. I chose Coco Pebbles, Lucky Charms, strawberries, gummy bears, whipped cream and chocolate milk. It was delicious; the perfect sugar-filled, sugar-covered breakfast. If you aren’t feeling inspired to come up with your own, JuJu offers JuJu combos, of their own creations, like the one my friend ordered, the Waffle House Special. It had Eggo waffles cereal, bananas, chocolate chips, whipped cream and more chocolate chips. And according to my friend JuJu makes a mean bowl of cereal.

They offer low-fat milk, skim milk, whole milk, chocolate milk, strawberry milk and soy milk. The chocolate milk is not your average chocolate milk. At JuJu, they coat the inside of your bowl in chocolate syrup and then give you regular milk
in very cool-looking carafes, which they call tubes, to pour in.

JuJu Cereal Bar is open all day and great for any meal any time. It’s also not too expensive, with a generous bowl of cereal madness costing $5.25. It’s fun and delicious and an awesome place to go with friends.
