Mario Machado, 17, died January 1, 1998 in Los Angeles of a gunshot wound. He had attended Hollenbeck Jr. High School and was Mexican-American.
Edwin Guillermo Gonzalez, 19, died January 2, 1998 in Los Angeles of a gunshot wound. He was Guatemalan.
Juan Ignacio Cabrera, 18, died January 13, 1998 in Lynwood of a gunshot wound to the head. He was Nicaraguan.
Javier Palomares, 19, died January 14, 1998 in Compton of a gunshot wound to the chest. He was Mexican-American.
Peter Alexander Litando, 18, died January 7, 1998 in Inglewood of multiple gunshot wounds. He attended Morningside High School and was Ecuadoran.
Justino Reyes and Pablo Perez Aguirre, 17, were found dead in the trunk of a car on January 7, 1998. Aguirre was Mexican.
Jorge L. Lugo, 19, died January 9, 1998 in Pacoima of multiple gunshot wounds. He was Mexican-American.
Carlos Javier Salgado, 18, died January 11, 1998 in Paramount of a gunshot wound to the head. He was Nicaraguan.
Bacilio Perez, 17, who died January 17, 1998 in Los Angeles, was shot with a handgun. She attended Vail High School and was Mexican-American.
Steven Marquan Pringle, 16, died January 17, 1998 in Los Angeles of a gunshot wound to the head. He attended Hamilton High School and was black.
Jaime Torres, 19, died January 25, 1998 in Wilmington of multiple gunshot wounds.
Paul Anthony Perez, 17, died January 25, 1998 in Whittier of multiple gunshot wounds. He was Mexican-American. (See article on page 6.)
