Oscar Rodriguez, 17, who drew the cover for the May-June 2001 issue of LA Youth, was named student of the month after his comic strip appeared in LA Youth in January 2001. The Lynwood School District also gave him a special exhibition at the district office. He plans to attend Cerritos College.
