How to cope with depression.
Why I was depressed
1. My friends put me down.
2. I put myself down.
3. Teachers and counselors made me feel unimportant.
4. I didn’t know how to talk to my parents about how I was feeling.
How I got out of it
1. I talked to my parents about what was going on with me.
2. I ditched the friends that didn’t care and found real friends.
3. I went to therapy once a week for two years, and stopped blaming myself for things. I started valuing myself more.
4. I found activities I loved (LA Youth and going to the movies).
5. I started believing in God in my own way.
