It’s a HEAT WAVE!!!

A small fan blowing behind a bowl of ice was our chosen method of cooling our staff meeting last Saturday when the air conditioning was down for maintenance.

We’re in the middle of a heat wave so L.A. Youth asked its staff writers how they try to beat the heat?

“Either I go to the front porch or the back porch which has a big avocado tree as shade.”

“I try to avoid my house and go to my friend’s house. Last year I got a job at an ice cream parlor. Now I just look for air conditioning where I can.”
