Welcome to the Parents’ Section at L.A. Youth. L.A. Youth is "by and about teens," but is for all people, teens and parents alike, who care about young people and their issues and want to know more about what teens are doing, thinking and feeling.

Since we began publishing L.A. Youth in 1988, we have heard from countless parents of both our teen staffers and our teen readers who have found our paper to be a resource not only for their children but for themselves as well. We want to continue to provide that resource on the Internet.

Raising adolescents today is no easy job, and we offer this site as a place where you can learn more about what teens are thinking, talking, and worrying about (especially when they won’t tell you!). We hope that you will take some time to explore the main L.A. Youth site, read some of our youth-written articles, and check out our links to parenting sites on the web. We look forward to hearing from you how we’re doing, and what you want from this site.

Below are a few sites for parents that we’ve found interesting, but this is by no means a comprehensive list. We will be adding to it periodically, so if we’re missing your favorite, please tell us about it at editor(at)layouth(dot)com.
