It’s a risk going to see a movie that you don’t know much about, since it could turn out to be the biggest flop of the summer, or the best movie in years. But you shouldn’t have to spend a fortune just to find that out. Here are some L.A. theaters where you can enjoy the movies for less, although you may have to go to early shows or see older movies. Theaters marked with an asterisk show movies that are a few months old rather than current releases. Just remember to bring your school ID to get student discounts and you are set to go.
